Domain Name and Transfer Support
Please see the resources below for common questions about domain names, web addresses, and how to transfer to or from the Integrity Website Service.
Domain Name Support
One domain name registration is included as part of the price of your Integrity Website Service package; however, you may have multiple domain names linked to your Integrity website. If we registered your first domain for you, then that counts as your free domain. You can either register other domains yourself and contact us for assistance with setting them up (proper domain pointing is done through the nameserver method, not through A or CNAME records), or if you are unsure on how to do this, we can register and renew additional domains for an extra charge of $6/month.
If you own your primary domain and manage the registration and renewal yourself, then you are still eligible for one domain name managed and renewed by Integrity. You can either transfer your primary domain to us so as to not have to handle renewals and management yourself, or you can request that we buy a second domain for you.
If you want to change your primary domain name, you will need to open a Premium Support ticket using this link. The fee for changing your domain name will be $75 plus any additional registration fees. In order to preserve search engine ranking you should keep your old domain name active for at least one year; if Integrity handles your domain registration we will require this.
You will need to contact support to set up any of these arrangements.
We are sorry to see you go. The first step toward cancelling your Integrity website is to fill out the Account Services form. This will initiate a billing review with our accounting department. If your account is current and in good standing, the release will then be sent to the Webmaster to process. If your account is past due with any skipped or missed payments we will require you to settle the account balance in full prior to transferring your website.
If you own your domain name and manage it yourself, nothing more is required. The Webmaster will delete your account and files from our servers and you are free to point your domain name to another company. If we own and manage your domain name then you will need to provide GoDaddy account credentials (login ID and associated email address) and we will transfer the domain into that account. Please make sure you have already provided GoDaddy with a correct contact address and have a credit card on file with GoDaddy. We do not support any other transfer methods (such as unlocking the domain and sending you an EPP or AUTH code).
It is not possible to schedule a specific time for a transfer to take place, and we have the right to remove any and all website files and DNS records on your account any moment after you submit the Account Services form.
If you elect to manage your own domain name (retaining the domain name in your possession and updating the nameservers to point to us) then you are responsible for annual renewals and any other upkeep of your domain name. If you neglect to renew your domain, you risk forfeiture of the domain name. Missing the renewal date will lead to your website being offline until renewed, and you may have to pay a fee of up to $100 to reactivate your domain name. If you miss the renewal date and go more than 30 days, your domain registrar has the right to sell your domain to what is called the domain name aftermarket. You may not be able to retrieve your domain name at all at that point; if you are, you will have to wait for the domain to go up for sale or up for auction. Reacquiring the domain at this point could cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars. This is a completely legal and standard procedure for domain registration companies. Integrity Management has no part in this; if you manage your own domain name we are unable to provide any assistance with renewal or recovery. If we manage the domain for you, then renewal is our responsibility and your website will not expire.
If you do lose your domain name, we will not be able to help you get it back. However, we can register a new domain for you and move your website over to it. The new domain may, however, take a while to show up in search engine results and you will have to update all stationery, business cards, advertisements, and anything else connected to the old domain name.
Domain Registry Services (Buffalo, NY) is a scam; please discard their notices. They send official-looking letters (often superimposed over the US flag) stating that your domain is about to expire and that you need to renew with them at a high cost in order to keep your domain active.
Unless your domain is managed by them (VERY unlikely and you can contact support to verify who owns your domain and where it is registered), this is a scam that will at best cost you money, and at worst could lead to theft of your domain name.
If your domain is owned and managed by Integrity, then you do not need to do anything as far as renewal. We take care of everything for you.
If you own your own domain, you are responsible for paying renewal fees to the registrar you work with (such as GoDaddy, eNom, Yahoo, etc.). Even if you own your own domain, you should renew with your current domain registrar or transfer to another reputable registrar (or allow Integrity to manage your domain). Under no circumstances should you release your domain to scammers such as Domain Registry Services.
In the event an Integrity office does fall for this scam and loses their domain to Domain Registry Services, Integrity staff will be unable to retrieve or recover the domain.
One domain name registration is included as part of the price of your Integrity Website Service package. If you would like additional domain names, contact the Support department. If registered and renewed by Integrity, the fee for additional domains is $6 per month. There is no additional charge to link domains you already own to your website; you can have unlimited domains pointed to your website address (through nameserver pointing; we do not allow or support “A record” pointing).
Some Integrity doctors have chosen to have more than one website — a site with the Integrity Website Service and a second site with an old web host, a competing chiropractic website company, or with Hibu.
You may not, however, be aware that having multiple sites does not increase your visibility on Google but instead causes the sites to be detected as duplicates of each other, potentially getting one or both sites demoted or removed from Google! We hope that you will enjoy using the Integrity website service and that we will be able to help you maintain a good, competitive ranking in Google’s index. If you choose to have competing websites, however, we may be unable to assist and you are likely to see very sub-par results from your Integrity website. If you would like information on how to shut down other sites and have them absorbed into your Integrity website, please contact our support department.
If you had existing email and did not provide information about it on the “Start My Website” form, we would not have known about it to continue routing email to your existing provider. Contact support and let us know who your existing email provider is (if you can get the MX records from them, that will help us restore your email quicker).
If you do not have email service, or lost email service when you switched providers, please go to our E-mail Service Options page to review your current options for obtaining email service.
